Vital Care Investments
Consolidating Midwest Home Healthcare.
An independent sponsor acquiring and operating owner-run home healthcare and assisted living businesses across Minnesota, South Dakota, and the broader Midwest.
About VCI
A disciplined sponsor built for the long term.
Vital Care Investments is an independent sponsor focused on the acquisition and professional operation of owner-run assisted living and home healthcare businesses across the Midwest. We partner with business owners — many of whom have spent decades building essential local services — to ensure a thoughtful, structured transition that preserves what they built.
Our approach is relationship-first. We believe the best transactions begin long before a letter of intent, in conversations rooted in trust, transparency, and a shared understanding of what matters most: the continuity of care for residents, the stability of staff, and the preservation of an owner’s legacy in their community.
Before pursuing transactions, VCI invested significant time building the institutional infrastructure necessary to be a credible, capable buyer: a seasoned board, experienced M&A and healthcare legal counsel, and a rigorous acquisition methodology. We pursue quality over volume, and long-term operational excellence over short-term financial engineering.

Our Strategy
A platform built on discipline, continuity, and regional scale.
VCI targets owner-operated assisted living and home healthcare businesses, typically in the sub-$5 million revenue range, across Minnesota and South Dakota, with room to expand across the broader Midwest. We are currently evaluating opportunities and actively engaged with owners across the region who are considering a structured succession or full transition.

Owner-First Transitions
We structure transactions with the seller in mind. VCI raises capital for each deal and offers seller-friendly terms — including seller notes and earnouts — that make transitions financially predictable and operationally smooth for retiring owners.
Disciplined Underwriting
Every opportunity is evaluated through a rigorous, methodology-driven process. We underwrite conservatively, price fairly, and pursue only businesses we are confident we can operate and grow responsibly.
Regional Scale, Local Care
The consolidation model creates shared back-office, compliance, procurement, and management infrastructure across the portfolio — reducing costs and improving quality — while preserving the local identity and community relationships each business was built on.
Long-Term Ownership
VCI is not a financial sponsor with a fixed hold period and a predetermined exit. We are building a durable regional platform intended to operate, grow, and compound over time. The businesses we acquire are not stepping stones — they are the foundation.
Our Board
Institutional experience. Regional credibility.
VCI’s board brings together seasoned executives, healthcare operators, financial professionals, and legal practitioners who provide guidance, credibility, and institutional experience at every stage of the acquisition and integration process.
